Hello! Welcome to Young Life-Sty-EL. My name is Nakia Young-EL and I am a multi-passionate creative. I’ve always thought of myself as an artist with my main mediums of expression being Theater arts and Fashion Design. For as far back as I can remember Theater and Fashion have been an integral part of my life and have not only shaped the woman I am today but have been my lifeline during some of my most challenging seasons. While I currently hold many titles (wife, mother, teacher) I am and will always be a creator and artist first and foremost.
I am a graduate of Stevenson University with a Bachelors in Fashion Design and a minor in Art. I currently teach Pattern-Making at a local Arts Center and love watching my students learn new skills and become more confident in themselves and their ability to Create and bring their visions to life.
My goal with Young LifeSty-EL is to create a place where people can come, find community, learn Pattern-Making, Sewing and tap into the many ways that we can all create for ourselves the things and lives we want.
